Kamloops Arts & Crafts Club has more than 30 creative fibre artists who meet Tuesday mornings in the lower lounge of Heritage House located in Riverside Park. We share space, coffee, & lively conversation with our painters and other members who drop in. Many activities take place in a relaxed atmosphere from weaving, knitting, crocheting, rug hooking, spinning, felting, beading, pine needle basketry, and card making. Members work on individual projects and all happily share with others who are interested.
The fibre artists also meet on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.
The club has an extensive library of books, magazines and videos that members may borrow for short periods.
Anyone 16 years and older interested in any aspect of the arts and crafts is invited to join Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club. Membership is $60/year August 1st to July 31 (pro-rated for those starting in other months). Seniors 65 and older pay a $40 membership. There are three main avenues with the KACC; Fibre Arts, Painting and Pottery. Benefits of club membership are reduced course and workshop fees, use of the club equipment for a number of crafts, extensive libraries of books, magazines, videos and newsletters covering a variety of interests, a monthly newsletter providing members with information on club activities and happenings, and the opportunity to sell their art at the club's two annual artisan sales. Classes are open to residents of Kamloops and the surrounding area.
