The Painting group at the Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club meets every Tuesday and Wednesday where they share ideas, techniques information and a love of painting.  The group size varies from week to week.  They often offer  drop in workshops to the public.  Recently Sharyn Olfert demonstrated a workshop on "Mingling Colors".  Other workshops are planned for the new year.  Check back monthly for updates on new  workshops offered.

Many of the painters start off a project by penciling a drawing, then finishing with acrylic watercolors and some members are fond of oil painting. The Heritage House Lower Lounge offers beautiful inspirational views of the river and trees at Riverside Park.

The Painters meet each Tuesday from 9:30am - 11:30am      ........................and Wednesdays from 1pm to 4 pm in the lower lounge of Heritage House.

On Tuesdays the painters work on various ways of improving their art as well as learning new techniques.

On Wednesdays each member works on one of their own current projects.

Becoming a member of the Kamloops Arts and Crafts Club has opened up many doors for many of the members.  If you have a problem there is always somewhere to go and you will find seasoned Artists that are willing to share their knowledge and expertise.  As well, the club offers a place to go just to sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee and talk about art.  The group offers the artist other types of arts and crafts as well.  The opportunity is always available for members to learn pottery, knitting, weaving and many other arts and crafts.

We have members who have attended outside workshops and brought back to the club their new experience and knowledge.

The Painters enjoy taking part in the two annual KACC Tea and Sale Events where they can display and sell their artwork.
