The Weavers have 30 creative members who meet Tues. mornings at Heritage House, lower lounge, Riverside Park.  We share space, coffee, & lively conversation with our painters, and many activities take place in a relaxed atmosphere from knitting, crocheting, spinning, felting, beading, pine needle basketry, whatever members are working on they share with others who are interested.

Since the recent renovations we now have a separate loom room where we have 4 floor looms and 2 table looms set up.  This means we are now able to weave at other times when we have a project in progress.  A key is made available while you are working on a project.  We have sign up sheets for the different projects on the go.  Some looms are warped up and a fee is established per ft. of weaving to cover the costs of the warp.  On other projects the weaver winds their own warp and "ties" on to the existing warp and we have a charge of $5.00 for 6 weeks for the use of the loom.  We currently have looms set up for a rosepath pattern rug, 2 double weave blankets, placemats, shuttle holder, and our tea towel project is waiting to be warped up with a new pattern.  The weaving projects are planned by the members and we take turns warping the looms that are warped up for the rest of the members to use.

We offer spinning & weaving classes depending upon the interest in the community.  If we only have 1 or 2 people wanting to join us and wanting to learn to weave, we have an instructor willing to help you get started for a minimal fee, per lesson, planned at your convenience.

Upcoming workshops will be posted and we are open to suggestions from our members.  Jan Seedhouse has a shop where we are able to purchase our yarns, looms, etc.  We also have a wonderful library that our members are able to utilize.

We belong to the Associated of Northwest Weavers Guilds - ANWG and GCW which is an association of weaving guilds.  This provides contact between guilds, and there is a conference every second year.  There is also a video library which has a loan system for members.  For more information contact:  Weaving Co-ordinator:  Audrey Muese - 573-2789 alexaud@yahoo.com
